Brand Identity and Marketing Collateral

Collynn’rae Nichols creates custom western boots, belts, and buckles for her clients. Her mix of exotic leathers, hand-tooled tributes, and silver and gold metals combine to create custom pieces designed to be handed down from generation to generation. I’ve worked with Collynn’rae for several years, developing two versions of her brand identity system and print marketing pieces such as catalogs and event flyers.


The Approach & Audience

The market is flooded with traditional takes on Western wear and cowboy boots. Collynn’rae desired an identity system that reflected the sophistication of her unique, handmade products. The diamond element can be a text divider, adding visual interest. The mix of serif and handwritten type exudes a casual yet cultured elegance that appeals to an upscale and refined audience.


Printed Catalog

Large photographic images of custom-made boots, buckles, and belts dominate the pages of a clean, 8-page catalog I created to showcase her recent creations. Black, serif text combines sophistication with just a hint of Texan personality.

Reflection

Collynn’rae continues to contact me to create print marketing materials for her as needed.
